Re: Old OMC gas tank fitting.

I cant for the life of me find a fitting to an old Evinrude gas tank. It's the same tank show here:http://208.131.146.117/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9915

Any help with parts or direction to look would be much appreciated.

Thanks for any help,
Chris

You're kidding, aren't you? No, I suppose not. Are you talking about the fitting on the end of the hose? That is a plain ol' omc fitting that has been used for the last 50 years or so. There is nothing special about it. Available everywhere, including Wal mart, and of course here at iboats.

I'm sorry I thought that adapter was for this fitting which is different than my old one:

No, that is not a two line pressure tank fitting.
As FR indicated, any standard, single-line OMC hose (with fittings) will connect to it.

I would think that is the configuration used on a lot of the new plastic tanks.

Not really enough info here to know what OP is asking....or why.

But if he has a tank like the picture/link he provided, but the connector piece is damaged, they are available but $$$$ !!!...they include the gauge and its mechanism, and are nearly $200-, part # 0381016.

In that case, you are bang-on, a new plastic tank, or decent used one would be cheaper by far.

I see those single line fuel tanks on Craigslist all the time for $20. Just gotta do some research.

Wow sorry for my ignorance on the subject everyone. The hose fitting you can find anywhere is the one I was looking for, just didnt think it was the right one. When I realized I could get it at Wally world I picked one up and bam, works perfect.

I should have posted pictures but the guy's tank in the link I posted is the exact same one I have.

Thanks again everyone for the help.
