Hey guys, I will cut to the chase. I have an old MonArk 1458 serial 37486 but can not find anything on the year it was build. I can't get tags for it without the year. Anyone have any idea. Thanks

1971 cuz HINs didn't start until 1972. HIN has the year.

No paperwork? Where do you live?

many states, without paperwork you have a yard planter, or stand it on end, add shelves and put books in it.

I have a Monark 1458 that I picked up from Redstone Arsenal MWR auction a few years ago. Got a bill of sale only. Still have no idea what year, actually never really wondered. I just put 1970 as year when I registered it in Ohio. Worked for me and the State :)

Irrelevant since your not in Alabama, and its of absolutely no help to the OP in Alabama....

Maybe not. The poster to which you are replying bought his boat in Alabama. He merely provided his experience successfully registering his formerly Alabama-based boat in his own state. His suggestion has merit.

Incorrect, perhaps you should read the OPs 2nd post in this topic:
I live in Alabama

My original statement now also includes your post:
irrelevant

Still waiting for an answer to post #4. Hard to keep giving advice when the OP isn't answering questions.

There is always the possibility of titling in Vermont to get paperwork. But you will have to find out if Alabama accepts Vermont paperwork without issues.. Because Vermont is an 'easy' way to get clean title/ registration, some states don't like to process their paperwork. You would just put whatever year you think it is
