I recently picked this up siezed up. Freed it, replaced cond., coils, pionts, plugs. and the poured fuel into air box. It fired right away. Problem is that it has three pionts at the fuel connection marked Fuel/Air. Todays fuel connections have only two points. What is the remedy ?

The remedy is to install a fuel pump and replace the 3-prong connector with a 2-prong connector. What year is your 10horse?
Or, you can get a pressure tank WITH the 2-line connector and 2-line fuel line.
Instructions for fuel pump conversion are in the "top secret files" at the top of this forum.

I have a 3 gallon tank with removable black disk. Assuming that it was a vent I unscrewed it and installed a brass hose barb that has a tiny hole in the side. This tank was set up for fuel only which has the primer ball still attached in line. I feel I made the correct decision in converting the tank but is this primer ball causing issues?

No, you did not make the correct decision. That motor requires a special two line metal pressure tank, fittings, and fuel line. The pressure tank has a built in primer pump to get fuel to the carb so it will start. The choices are to find a pressure tank, line and fittings or to convert the motor to use a fuel pump and new-style tank, line, and fittings.
Trying to use a new tank as a pressurized tank is creating a bomb.

Pressure tank or fuel pump, your choice. You clearly didn't understand what the choices are.

i agree, you cant have it semi-both ways, either do the proper conversion (there is a wealth of info to be found in this forum on how to do it correctly) or find the proper tank for your motor, i am a fan of "backyard engineering, but NOT when it deals with fuel under pressure. convert to new, or revert to old!
