Old Johnson 10hp Kicker - info?

I've got an old Johnson 10hp Kicker. It doesn't run and I know zilch about it.

Can any of you kind folks help a girl out with any info?

Serial: 334255

Well its a 1961 model. I would do a compression check and if its good purchase a manual for it and go from there. When is the last time it ran?

Thank you. I honestly had no idea when the last time it ran was. The person I bought it from 'seemed' to know very little about it.

I've been using this thread http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=250834 for reference.

I'm getting the compression checked this week. I'm hoping it tests fine and it's just the magneto ... that would be great!

I have a '77 Johnson 70hp, but I'll save that for another thread ... besides that ones running!
