Hey guys. I bought an old bass boat last year with a 70 hp Evinrude outboard motor on it. I havn't done a thing to it for maintenance and ran it all last summer with minimal problems. As a new outboard owner, what is the recommended service/maintenance with a motor like this, i.e. clean the carburateor? Do I need to take it in to get serviced somewhere? and if so, what should I expect so as to not get ripped off? <br /><br />Any comments and help would greatly be appreciative as I would like to prevent from getting stranded in the middle of the lake this summer. <br /><br /> dshort827@yahoo.com
