Old aero craft

Just bought this 12 foot aero craft boat for 100$ any ideas what year and model? there is a tag at the back but it’s got a chunk out of it. it leaks a small leak out of the front seam how can i seal it up? just a few questions if anyone can help me out thanks.

do you have paperwork with your boat from the prior owner? registration, etc.?

if not, you may have an up-hill battle.

see your local registration office. they will most likely issue a new serial number or HIN.

The numbers on the side of the boat were barely on there and the previous owner said he can get a title eventually but i don’t want to wait for him. is there a way of telling year and model with that sticker messed up on the back because i read that a boat before 1972 didn’t have hin number and i don’t see one but that little tag says serial and model but it’s got them chunks out of it. looks like 5647 and either H or M for model i can’t really tell.

Mostly depends on where you are, here in TN. It would be easy to register, no title needed.

Get the prior owner, drive him down to your local registration office with you. Get the title transferred to your name

Well that’s the thing i don’t think he has the title he said he can get a title so idk what that means whether he’s gonna file for a new one or what. I wasn’t expecting it to be such a hassle but i guess i picked the wrong boat to buy. Do you need a title to get it registered in indiana or will a bill of sale work? Thanks for the help y’all.
