I have an old[don't know whatyear, but probably over 20years ] 2 hp evinrude.I put in new gas, started it-but am having trouble getting it to stay running,I am playing with the two[fast /slow] adjustment lean-rich screws, and the choke-but it just seems finicky-won't stay running.
My other old evinrude-a 6hp twin fisherman runs like a top-pull it out of the garage ,give it a couple of pulls and its off and running-no problem. Are the little 2hp singles just harder to run?any suggestions?

I'd pull the carb off and give it a good cleaning and see how she does...

No, they don't, RBF. You need to dismantle the carb and clean out all those tiny passages and orifices.

You need a Service Manual. Buy one or check out your local library.

Good luck. :)
