OL ?

When turning ON my digital multimeter constantly flashes OL in the display. Is it an indication of low bat, blown fuse or the meter has had its Waterloo Time ?

Is the meter set on a resistance scale? OL means open or no connection. It could be a fuse if the leads are fused.

The meter was set on the 500 VAC scale, the bat condition it's probably low, will install a new battery along checking the fuse state. Thanks.
