So here I am- I just got my new (well new to me) Outboard and I'm getting ready to mount it on my Nymph. As I step towards the stern carrying the motor I trip and drop the **** thing!!!!!! I end up breaking off the shift lever on the left side (looking at it) of the motor. Just the arm part, I can still shift it but I'll need to replace it. Are these hard to find?

Its a 1965 Evinrude, 18hp, model 18502

Thanks for any help.

LMN

A very rare piece :(
Your best bet is to look in all the boatyards and salvage yards.
Good luck.

If you don't want to weld it back on call Superior Marine at 800-338-9281 and talk to Jack. All of the 18's, 20's and 25's will interchange if you get somewhat close in years.

And don't worry -- you haven't done anything new.

Good luck!
