OOPS! I see I messed up my reply to Tim's post - this part was mine, not his:<br /><br /><br />If by "smarter" it means he thinks he's actually saving money by using 10w30, I can't believe it's a meaningful savings from cheap Wally World gallon jugs of TCW3 oil. Unless he's using the absolutely cheapest 10w30 and is saving 75 cents a quart. He's probably not crazy, but seems kind of stupid, penny wise and pound foolish.
