I have a 20 year old Evinrude 120HP outboard on a 19 foot Four Winns. The oil sensor on the top of the reservoir seems to have died. Any options the forum knows of as alternate to paying $200 for replacement sensor. At that price for a 20 year old boat, I'll just "check the oil" every time I use the boat ;-)

Thanks

Being a 'low oil' switch similar to a fuel gauge, the engine does not need it, only you in case you forget to check oil level. Up to you to disconnect it.

Run it and check the oil everytime before using the boat. Should have no probs.
