oil pressure guage not working

Took my new to me 2006 yamaha 90tlr out today for the first time. It has a couple of digital guages on the console that do many different features. The one screen with the temp, battery charge and oil pressure are all pointing to the middle of the range except the oil pressure which has no arrow at all. I don't have any warning beeps just no reading of the oil pressure. Any ideas what this could be? Bad senor? something i'm missing? Thanks for any help.

Square Command Link gauges? Your probably have an oil switch instead of a sending unit.

Yes they are square. Still trying to find out how to work all the stuff on them. The no oil reading worries me. Like I said it doesnt even show a arrow marker to read on the guage.

welcome wayne. see ya took my advise. hopefully somebody will know what is causing it and if its just a gauge problem. they sure helped me out alot here and got me running great.

2 strokes do not have oil pressure and 4 strokes may have a switch not sensor like he said.
Check you manual to see

It's a 4 stroke. Unless I am missing it my owner's manual doesn't say anything about an oil pressure switch. A service manual might but I don't have one. My boat has the Yamaha Smartcraft upgraded gauge package so the guages in my manual do not look like the ones I have.
