biggest thing is to be sure it has baffles in it AND that the pick-up on the oil pump is the right depth.... and for a boat, extra oil (ie high capacity oil pan) is never a bad thing...

What ever you end up using be sure to put several coats of rust preventative paint on it as well...
Ebasicpower.com sells tins for good prices if you want to use the same type you have on there.

3m rubberized undercoating is even better!

ebasic is about 40 dollars higher then the local guy but I got one locally and will have it all set tommorrow thanks guys

That is why I am having to yank my engine this winter (other than the fact that I need to fix the transom) is because I have two little rust holes on my oil pan. i stuck some JB weld on it to get me through one more summer.
