Oil on the bottom of the foot?

I just replaced the powerhead on my 115 Johnson 90 degree CV4 outboard and I ran it in the water last week and everything checked out. This morning I was leaving for work and noticed some black oil that looked like it was running out of the propeller housing. I reached down and got some on my finger thinking it was gear oil form the lower unit but was suprised that it didn't smell or have the consistancy of gear oil. It smelled like burnt motor oil and there wasn't very much of it either. Is this normal? I am running 25:1 premix to break the powerhead in while the regular premix is only 50:1. Could someone please tell me if somthing is wrong.

No worries, George. It is common for unburned fuel/oil to accumulate in the exhaust and drip out later.

Sounds normal during a 25:1 premix to break the powerhead, a little oil may drain from the exhaust/prop. Sounds fine to me.
