oil mixture &year model

Ihave a 6HP evinrude fisherman and iwas wanting to know if anyone can help me with the year model and oil fuel mixture.the serial number is 6802C-EO1148 Thanks any help is greatly appreatated

6802C makes it a 1968 model.

According to http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Owners-Center/FAQ/OilAndFuel it should run on 50:1 fuel mix but as far as I can see from the parts diagrams the crankshaft main bearings are not needle bearings.
Therefore I would feel inclined to use a more oily mix, even perhaps using the 24:1 mix that would have been used by the (5.5hp) models prior to 1964. Esp if you will be working it hard.

The currently recommended plugs are J6C and may be less inclined to foul than the original J4J
