Hi
I have swapped my 2000 90 Ficht RAM with an 2002 or 2003 Ficht RAM. There is the newer oil distribution system, with one more oil pipe connected to the oil mainfold,. I guess four of them are to each cylinder, but unfortenately the previous owner cut the pipeline that runs under the fuel filter, the same marked as the inner pipeline on the second picture. Can anyone tell me where to connect tihis one?

You may want to consult the attached. On FICHT and ETEC engines up to about 2006 or so.... one oil feeder sends oil into the incoming fuel line to provide a mix of fuel oil undr EMM control . Check to see if previous owner did not cut it and fed pre-mix at 50/1

this link will list several service manuals just download your FICHT 2002-2006 manual and print locally

hope it helps

to service your FICHT you need EV Diagnostic software on a windows 10 or 11 laptop

Thanks a lot! This was helpful. So the right thing to do is to buy a "T" and connect it to the main fuel supply that runs into the lift pump?

what I said was a maybe....

your cut hose may have been the one feeding oil to the fuel line just before the lift pump.. Inspect your fuel route to see if you have alterations or missing T on the fuel line. Make 100% certain all oil lines to the crankcase are installed.

that cut hose must be spewing oil all over if not plugged up ... inspect it closely

manual says you should have a T on the incoming fuel to provide " some oil" whose role is to lubricate injectors and HPP pump innards not burn it up likea 50/1 mix in carbed mtors . On the modern ETECs with no oil feed to fuel after 2007 or so... it is recomended to mix in some... oil in the fuel for inj and HPP lubrification. The mix has been named Oly's brew but in effect with a T feeder to the incoming fuel no need for the mix :)

above suggestions are fyi.. up to you to decide what is best or... wrong with your oil distibution.

Thanks a lot, Crosbyman. Then the problem i is solved. I have checked, and this is the line to be connected to the fuel line. I found a T that will come by post. For to not have to wait, I clogged the cut oil line and mixed in Oly's brew to try to start the motor today. Got an engine error code, I'm starting a new thread on that...

oly's brew is a very limited oiling ratio and was eliminated in the design of later ETECs around 2007-2008 the engine should still run without the mixing in the fuel line.
