oil injection 1990 merc

Sometimes at slow speed my 1990 merc 90 hp oil injection smokes excessively.It is a temporary problem but comes periodically.<br /><br /> I would appreciate any input<br /> Thank you

If it comes after a high speed run, it's because the fuel in the pump, lines and carbs is already mix rich enough for high speed and has to burn up before the engine gets the right mix, The manufacturers sell it as oil injection, but it is not it's only oil premixing---Bob
