100-1 was original for no oil injected yam of the day. But 50-1 all the way is recommended pre mix. Have done this with all 3 of my Yam 2 strokes for years.

By some individuals, yes. By many individuals, possibly yes. By Yamaha, nope. For certain models anyway.

Feels like deja vu all over again. When the ratio changed from 25:1 to 50:1. Many just could not come to grasps with it.

Some really old dude some where is probably still running 25:1 with TC-W3 synthetic oil. Knowing that if he does not do so he is going to ruin his motor.

OP's question was "What fuel/oil mix...?"

The answer is: TCW-3 Oil in the reservoir and straight gas into the fuel tank.

No mixing of the fuel/oil because the engine does the mixing automatically.

Everything about ratios is just noise to the OP...leave the argument for another day.

Thank you. Maybe 2 times is the charm.

I don’t think I remember the 25/1. I remember 100/1 though. From 100/1 in those days...the 50/1 safe guard makes sense to me.

Mix your first tank at 50-1 and make sure the oil injection is working. Just watch and see if the level in the tank goes down as you are running. That oil gets used up so it needs to be filled periodically. Good rule of thumb is fill gas and add oil

This is great advice.
