Oil from weep hole

New to the group with a recently purchased 1961 Evinrude 40 on the back of a Starcraft alum 16'.
I was told it runs well, requires some maintenance, etc.
Trying to do as much as I can without the service manual as I have just ordered the factory service and owners manuals from Ken Cook Company.
After changing the lower unit oil, it leaks from the weep hole in front/above the prop in the lower unit.
What is the cause and what is the fix?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Oil from weep hole

Your photo didn't show in the post but it's probably just unburned fuel running down the exhaust. Is it the hole on the starboard side in the thin part of the case just above the bulge for the gears? That's a drain hole for the exhaust cavity.Did you run it prior to seeing this oil coming out?
