MY Volvo 4.3 GL has outside threads on the oil dip stick tube which a female hose will thread on to, my question is can I siphon oil out of the engine simply by threading a hose to it, does the dip stick tube go to the bottom of the engine oil pan? or do I need to buy an oil extrator pump?

Siphon out ???? No, you will need a pump.

does the dip stick tube go to the bottom of the engine oil pan?

The answer is right in front of you. Follow the dipstick tube and see where it ends.

Ok suck with a drill pump or a pump & hose adapted to thread to the dip stick tube.

yes I was going to do that but to save time I thought someone would know this already, thanks.

I see there was already a similar thread on this same question pretty much that I missed from 2 years a go, my bad.

Dip stick tube travels to where the drain plug would normally be via some fittings. I always used a small hand pump like this one

I have since switched to one of these because it is less messy.
