i know on my 120 loopvee it was because not all cylnders were firing, and then it was carbs flooding out-causing unburnt oil to leak out exaust/lower unit. yours could be something different.
They are burning rich. The oil is unburned oil. It was probably adjusted rich like this on purpose, as running rich ,while it may foul plugs sooner, will not wear out nearly as quickly as a motor runnining lean (insufficiant lubrication).
Hi hoganrocks
Oil driping from the exhaust of a 2 stroke is fairly normal. As 12Footer says it's unburned engine oil and exhaust residue. I would say that it is not uncommon to have a 4"-6" stain on the shop floor after running the motor. It never hurts to check the things the other guys listed, espicaly if it seems excessive. It could be you mixed the oil a little on the ritch side also. And thats no big deal, better to have a little too much than not enough. With in reason of course.
Would an abnormaly rich oil mixture cause gumming of the cylinder rings and gumming or plugging of the carburators if left for a few months with out running. say stored over winter ?
NOSLEEP,

It (over rich) could definetely add to the concern.

A good decarbonizing will help. Do a search on this board for "decarb.".
If you have not yet found a solution to the problem, here is possibility that is cheap and probably ought to be done every so often anyhow. I had that same problem with a 93 Evinrude and got this advice from this board. Replace the fuel hose. Claered up the problem immediately. Good luck Granpa
