Change oil and filter at the end of the season as part of your winterization routine. Allows you to remove the contaminants that have built up over the summer. Then run it back up to operating temp to coat the bearings and engine surfaces with clean oil before putting her to sleep for the winter.
No need to change again in the spring- that's a waste of time and money.
