Of "all time" ??

A recent thread asked about the greatest musical artist of "all time".<br /><br />My GDaughter was watching a show this morning about the 50 greatest child actors of "all time".<br /><br />When did "all time" begin, 1980? 1990?<br /><br />In 200 years the music of Ludwig Van Beethoven will still offer some of the most magnificent and moving sounds ever heard. For a loooong time the songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney will still enchant, as will the music of Richard Rogers, Leonard Bernstein and other 20th Century artists.<br /><br />Among the top child actors of "all time" Shirley Temple, Judy Garland, Jackie Coogan and Ron Howard were not in the top 25, if they were mentioned at all. Who was #1? CARTOON CHARACTERS, for crying out loud!<br /><br />I guess my generation was born before "all time" began.

It's all about sponsorship and commercials.... boils down to ratings and money!<br /><br />JB I agree Shirley Temple, Judy Garland, Jackie Coogan and Ron Howard and I would like to add in Annette Funicello and a few of the earlier Mickey Mouse kids. The Bowery Boys and of course The Little Rascal's (remember the "curse of the Little Rascal's" ??? )<br /><br />Mickey Rooney started out very young too.

A mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother are working in kitchen; When the mother’s daughter comes home from school and announces her home work is to determine the most useful kitchen innovation of all time. She first asks her Mother, who states she would hate to loose the convenience of her Microwave oven. Next the Grandmother chimes in the labor savings of the automatic dishwasher are tough to beat. Lastly the Great grand mother speaks up and says you can keep all those fancy inventions, I'll take running water every time.<br />
