Sounds like a meteorite? There are different kinds of meteorites and some of them are rare and expensive.

Met a guy that buys iron meteorites and melts them down to make samurai swords. He says his swords are "out of this world."

I got a look at it this morning, its metal, and very porus(sp). I'm not touching it until I see if the local college has a gigometer,lol, I have enough tumors as it is.

Update:

I contacted the closest astronamy club, and a gentleman paid me a visit. It is a meteorite, and he offered a nice chunk of change for it, I'm holding out until I can do some research. I'll get a pic before I sell it. I don't have a digital camera or cell phone, but I'll ask my neighbor if he has one.

Wow guess you are in the Mountains. No camera? No cell phone?

See if it has openings, could be a space craft of some sort. You know like in superman?
