Re: Odd question

If it's from a plane crash it's probably evidence in an NTSB or FAA investigation if it's from a satelite or shuttle it is gvt. property and needs returned to the proper government.

if it's a boeing bomb (not a space meteorite) don't eat the peanuts:D

But if it's the neighbor kids ball it's up to you as to whether or not you give it back to them, but it would be nice if you did give it back.

Re: Odd question

Back in the 70's, on a hot summer day, we had a 27 inch chunk of ice hit the ground 10 feet away from us......Looked up, and saw a jet way up there. Think they flushed the pot or something....

But Seriously, keep extraterrestrials, and call the news:rolleyes:

So, what was the something? and if it doesn't look important I may not worry about it but if it came off a plane I would notify someone getting it from a falling object would not be a good thing:eek:

Me thinks that would just make you a bigger target........

As for possession of the 'space turd', all depends on who comes lookin' for it!

Re: Odd question

Take some pics of the hole and then dig out to find out what did the damage. If it is a meterorite, its yours. It could be worth some cash for you.

I had a hole in my yard. Found out that it was the beginning of a sink hole a few days later after lots of rain.

I got a look at it this morning, its metal, and very porus(sp). I'm not touching it until I see if the local college has a gigometer, lol, I have enough tumors as it is.

That is really interesting.:) My friend collects such things, and has found a few on his own, but generally pays big bucks for meteorites.

Quite a conversation piece you have there at any rate!
