Odd Question regarding mooring on a 14'er

How does one typically approach and hook a mooring on a closed bow 14.5' runabout. I understand how to get up and approach the mooring but when there is no walk through on the windshield and you need to hook onto the bow eye, what do you do? Never really had this problem before as my parents' Four Winns 180 is a bowrider and someone would lean over at the bow and grab the mooring pennant while the other drove the boat to the mooring. But how is this completed on a close bow non-walkthrough runabout with no bow cleats??

You could fix a line on to the bow eye long enough to stow within reach and moor to that. Or just moor to the stern.

Yes that would be fine, mooring from stern is not of interest to me however!
Just wondering if there was a better way and how people would have done it for the 42 years this boats been around.
Thank you.

You could ask the previous owner.
I suspect the concept of mooring a 14 footer was usually in the form of putting it back on the trailer.

Probably right! My 15' closed bow has a cleat in the center of the deck... perhaps install one on yours?

On my 15 footer I moved the forward cleats back to the windshield and added chocks at the bow. Let's see if they show up inthese photos.
