Does anyone have any pictures of their OD 11 sailboat? I just got one and am trying to figure out how to rig it. Thanks!

Re: Od 11

We had a couple of OD11's growing up. Had a pretty active racing fleet in San Jose (SJ Sailing Club). The boats were made in Israel and are not related to "O-Day".

I don't have any detailed pics, but the rigging is very simple:
1) 2 pc. mast together
2) Slide sleeve of sail over mast
3) Slide mast assy. (w/sail on it) into the hull
4) Boom connects to bottom of sail
5) Main sheet is pretty basic threading of line
6) Same for the down-haul
7) Centerboard
8) Attach tiller/rudder assy

I wish I still had mine to play with; I'd take a pic for you. Been 30+ years... Here's a grainy picture of a rigged OD11 under sail: OD 11 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com

And though it's a different boat, the rigging is very similar to a Topper (or a Laser) -- here's a video of how to rig a Topper, which will look very similar to your OD11: Topper rigging - YouTube

And here's an Israeli video of OD11s -- stop at 00:16 and you can see a close up of the rigging:

Enjoy!

Just got one and am in the same position. Did you ever get yours figured out? Do you have any pictures of your boat/rigging?

Re: Od 11

Bosc0,
Thank you for posting that. I recently purchased an OD11 and have found it very hard to find information about it.

OD11 Owners,
In searching for info on your boat, it will help to know that an OD11 is not an "O'day" made boat like many think. It is made by Snapir Sailing Craft Ltd. (Haifa, Israel) starting in 1972.
