Aloha I’m a 15yr fisherman here in Hawaii and I’m build my second boat but I’m making some very different changes to hull style and wanted some opinions on what you might have . Some thoughts or suggestions . 4ADDBCFA-EB8C-4BCC-A43E-A1CFF783D6C5.jpeg81000E50-F771-405C-BFAE-505878A68E1E.jpegB2370393-6058-46B9-BDE2-CBC63BBB42B9.jpegCB17F45A-8103-4632-A812-F35510E7B5A3.jpeg

We’ll I changed the hull , port and stern and made the chines can see in pic . Was curious if anyone would have a idea on how this might ride ? I do a lot of trolling 8-10 knots and my idea was to keep the boat more at a steady track then building it this way for speed . Have you personally seen a style like this before ?

I see what you added but not sure it will help with the single engine steering wander, it's just the nature of the beast. The larger chins may cause issues on plane

I do look forward to the results

This boats runs twin Yamaha 70’s and auto pilot connected to it . I’m hoping the large chines I made work as a entrapment for air pockets coming from bow to lift boat and give better stability /tracking that’s the idea . Thanks for the info I’ll keep posting while project goes on have a great day .

The hard reverse chines is similar to a Boston Whaler Montauk. I'd say your hull should perform awesome.

Nice boat. can't wait to see her finished.

Hey iboats folks - remember the guy from Finland that did something very similar. I looked around for his thread but can't find it. Any results on how that turned out? This dude may find that thread interesting even at this last stage of his mod.

Some nice work, sure hope it runs out to be everything your going for.

Wonder if the extra 60 hp (twin 40 to twin 70) is going to be enough?

The beam is only 7’ so kinda a narrow boat that’s why I’ve been able to get away with the low horsepower thus far but I’m hoping with the addition we will stay within same range with the new 70’s . . But keep in mind I’m on the big island hawaii east side and water is big so even on a nice day your pushing maybe 15-20 knots to get where u going . Biggest thing on this boat build is being able to ride the 10 plus swells without sliding back and forth . So let’s hope guys this boat come clean ride and doesn’t pound !

The original hull cut really smooth over 10 plus headed out and coming over the wakes I’m hoping with the new chines starting from now doesn’t change it in a bad way , I guess that’s why I was reaching out if there was anyone with this style ? 17341487-51F5-4267-946C-CA1BDEDD62B8.jpeg
