Have a mid to late 90's 150 hp Mariner with over oil injection problems or some type of fuel mixture issues. It is oil injected EFI. Now the mechanic says one of the parts that I need is NLA. What now? Do I just scrap the motor or pull off the oil injection system and run a mixed fuel. The part is a T that is below the engine resivoir (part #22-42425). I have looked online for this and just when I think I have found one, it pops up NLA. ANY suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Obsolete Parts?

Start calling marinas in your area - the older the better. I needed plastic insert for the tiller handle on my 73 merc 7.5 hp - a NLA part - but one of the marinas (that has been there forever) in our area still had one on the shelf.

Also, on the mercury website, I did find a list of a few on-line dealers that specialized in NLA parts (I wish I had kept that info)

Thats the "t' with the 2 psi check valve. Its the same as the newer engines and should have been updated to a 22-42425-2 and is $16 thru Boats.net
