It will break your hearts to hear this, but O.J. Simpson was ticketed by the Florida Marine Police for speeding in a manatee zone. Neither he nor his lawyer showed up in court and the judge fined him $130. The news story didn't give anything really interesting, like what kind of boat he was in, what kind of motor, how many RPM he was turning, what kind of propellor [could it have been a Stiletto?]. Too bad he didn't show up. His defense could have been that he was in hot pursuit of the "real killer"

Now Jack, You know If you or I got caught speeding through a manatee zone and we did'nt show up for court, there would be an officer waiting for us when we came home with a warrant and we would probably be in the county JAIL!!!....

What a Dirt Bag...

I love them big dumb Manatee's... :D If you ever saw one up close and personal you would know what I mean... :)

Good picture, Moose. It fits. We get a few manatees around here from time to time, even though the experts say it gets too cold for them. The old timers say that years ago, there were many more of them. They are big and ugly and cute at the same time, aren't they?

How ironic!!!
Anbd to think, he coulda walked easily if he had the right attourney...Reason being, a judge has found manatee speed zones to be against the law. The ruling stopped short of having FWC pull all existing sinage, but the whole thing is now in Limbo as far as enforcement. A good lawyer has but to recite this precedant, and his client stands a better than great chance of being found N/G.
A strange werld we be livin in,bros.
