It's a simple equation, X number of grams raised X number of degrees C. = number of calories needed for the change in temp C. You'll find we would all have to burn like little stars to equal the change you see.

I don't think we're on the same page here. It's not about destroying this rock we're all riding on, it's about making it a place where we can't live and enjoy the same quality of life. If we're all burning like little stars that pretty much kills that. Has nothing to do with politics.

Yes it does.... if we were all burning like little stars, we still wouldn't raise the temp by more than a 10 th of a degree... do the math for just the atmosphere... the "rock" just puts end to it.

I saw on the news today that Atheists get to choose 2 days off work out of 8, Christians get 3 days off and muslims get 26 days off of work in the UK per year. This is because the government doesn't want to create waves with them.
Any in the UK, correct me if I am wrong.

After hearing this, I can totally understand them hiring gore for global warming!

News to me. Holidays vary between employers but we do have Bank and Public holidays which account for between 8-10days per annum. It could be that because some of the holidays are associated with Christian festivals such as Christmas then the employers are being told to offer other religions the choice but that is just whacky..............very few people actually work at Christmas, although I guess our kebab shops are open then d

I heard that Al Gore is getting into music and releasing a CD. Apparently it's to be called Algorythm.................I'll get my coat :'(

Your description is the very definition of Colbert's term "truthiness" Believing to be true what you wish to be true, regardless of the evidence.

As far as Al Gore's task in England, it probably would be preferable if they had a true scientist leading it. If it were an honest debate that relied specifically on the empirical evidence, they probably would have.

Unfortunately, it seems real evidence has little to do with this debate.
