I was out fishing today and I was running around with the boat and everything was perfect so I stopped at one of my fishing spots and fished for 30 mins or so and when I turn the ignition key nothing happend thank god I had my 6hp on the back also. The battery was charged up all my lights, pumps, locators, and horn worked, Starter cranks fine with a battery pack hooked to it. It seems like the shift interupter is stuck but the push to choke doesnt work either. I think the ignition switch died but I was wondering if theres like a fuse or a breaker you can reset? There is just no electricity going to the motor period.

check your hot wire under the cowling next to the starter solenoid there should be a inline fuse close to the solenoid

The hot wire runs to some kind of power block then the starter wire goes from the block to the starter.

in this picture bottom right, you see a small red fuse holder, your may be black, it is the fuse for the starting circuit. small 20 amp fuse.

The fuse was bad so I replaced it but still nothing....the wires going to and from the fuse were badly deteriorated so I dont think there is any power going though the fuse, i'm going to get my test light out today check stuff
