Happy to have found this forum, hope your not sick of stringer questions.
I have a 1994 Thompson 240 HT 23ft. 8 in. new stringers and bulk heads ready to Epoxy in . Im not sure how the old stringers were notched.
I tried to pay attention as I tore out the old and was sure all stringers were notched from the top down only 3 in. my tallest stringer is 13 in. the cross members ( bulkheads) all notched from bottom up.
Im laying out the last bulkhead today , its close to Epoxy time , I want to make the cuts so I can CPES as I will every piece going back in.
There are 2 - 13in. main stringers in line with outsides of motor mounts
and 1 - 9in. stringers out toward gunnel . 4 bulk heads 17in. at center
5 in. at gunnels .

Re: notching stringers

Just lay the bulkheads in the hull and the stringers will have to be notched to fit accordingly if you like a level deck.

When I did mine this spring I pre-glassed the stringers and bulkhead before installing, its a lot easier. I bed the wood with PL construction adhesive to keep it from contacting the hull then glassed the wood to the hull after the PL was cured enough to hold its position.
I also used alum angle brackets on the main bulkhead to stringer joints with stainless nuts/bolts in addition to glassing.
