I was taught that in the late 50's early 60's....... slapping the TV always helped the horizontal hold ........ learned that from my Dad

seen it work on cheap things and ive even seen it work on very expensive things but you have to ask how did the operator work out that you can start a steam turbine by hitting it with a 2 by 4.
