Hi hope someone can help me on here I’ve recently bought a quicksilver 705 active 3.0L 2015 with 200hrs on when I go to rev it it bogs out like timing or fuel mixture
Haha now I’ve changed the carb inlet manifold plugs fuel pump distribution system coil but still bogs I’ve tried running straight from fuel can with still no joy I could get it to go into base timing with old distribution system but dose not seem to make any difference with new one on at one point the engine just picked up and ran perfect rev was ok stopped like that a day or so took it up the river and went back to running crap and not reving
All parts are new it has my head battered
Thanks in advance

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Which distributor does it have,..??
Did you change the carb, or the intake manifold, or both,..??

Check the fuel pressure. Could be a plugged fuel filter or a bad anti-siphon valve at the fuel tank that could be limiting fuel available to the carb. Also check that the fuel tank vent is clear (try running with the fuel fill loose / open to see if tank is vented).

Hi thanks for responding it has new fuel pump on and I’ve ran it from a separate tank only thing I haven’t changed was the wiring that came with new distributor as it is all taped in I changed the jumper wire from coil but I can’t get this new distributor to go into base timing mode I’ve joined the 2 at distributor and 2 at at intersection switch

I’ve just came across that I’m getting 15v to the batteries and to the coil which will be sending the distribution system crazy I’ve disconnected the alternator and still getting 15v when engine is running
