Having troubles with my 1985 70HP Johnson. took hood off and moved the throttle to full forward. Shifts great f&r. Problem when throttle is moved forward carb linkages to not move. Novice at this. Thank you

check for movement at the end of the throttle cable when pushing throttle lever forward ... if no movement at the back end check for broken cable

if throttle cable follows the forward movement of the throttle lever look for disconnected linkage to carb(s) like missing clip, unlatched cable....
