No water from tell tale

I have a Force 120 outboard. I can not get water to flow from the tell tale. I put new impeller kit in. I have use a hose and can get water to come out through the thermostat opening (thermostat removed). I put the hose in the water tube and a lot of water comes out the exhaust before it comes out the thermostat housing.
I am running the motor on muffs.

Did you have water from the tell tale before the impeller change?

Some folks have said they got no water out of the tell tale while on muffs.....either not enough water pressure from hose or muffs not sealing good. Could try using a deep bucket with the water about 6 inches or more above the cavitation plate.....see what happens....FYI

I never got water out of the muffs on my 105, put it in a barrel of water and water came out. Give that a try.
