I have a 1985 mercury 35 hp. I put muffs on started her up and no water coming out of pee hole just air coming out.impeller is new.could it be because im using muffs instead of a garbage can full of water?
No, the pee hole tube is probably blocked or restricted somewhere, mud wasps love to pack the exit on the outside of the tube with mud and plug it up, so check that first before going into panic model
cylinder head drain is plugged. could be some chunks of corrosion/sand/mud/small stones/gskt material. pull the hose off and blow it out with a compressed air gun.
