I have a 1998 glastron with 5.7 mercruiser. Boat was running rough so changed plugs and wires, broke tip off of distributor cap changed cap and rotor as well. Went ahead and installed new coil to round off all the bases. Now it turns over like a champ but I have no spark whatsoever. Distributor set at #1 tdc wires correct voltage at coil but not getting any spark. Went with old coil initially thinking maybe got faulty it has same symptoms. Thanks for any help.

if Alpha there is the shift interrupt switch that ground out the coil.then depending in what Thunderbolt you have the ground lead for the amplifier may have broken Have you done the thunderbolt testing sequence?
