1981 mercury 7.5 with BB7C carb. when I was rebuilding it I noticed there was no spring on the inlet needle valve, and the needle does not have the "notch" on the tail to accept one, yet included with the new carb kit is a new needle and spring, not sure if I should go ahead and replace the old with the new?
