It's a Johnson 9.9 1974.
1. Are you using a spark tester? These work alot better than trying to hold the plug to a ground.
2. Check the shorting switch (kill switch) unplug that and check for spark.
3. Pull flywheel and check points, wires, connections and magnets. Points are cheap enough that once you have the flywheel off you might as well change those and condenser to rule that out.
4.All thats left pretty much is the coil after that
Do you have good compression?
