Bahaha- well here is an update..
As you read in my PM to you...it's done. Gear is replaced and engine is put back together.
Timing is now the issue.BUT almost done there...Complete this week.
Glad to hear that you were able to get the gear off without removing the cam.
I had to go the other route.To parinoid about hitting the plug in the back. Well all went well. Cut the gear off upto the ring. then used apuller to pull the ring. Not so bad.
BUT to get the new gear back on had to remove the cam..Good expierence.
The Islander should be back on the water in a few weeks..Next time availiable.
