no spark 6 hp evinrude

i have a 1979 6hp evinrude, it only has spark to 1 cylinder, top has no spark bottom does so i switched the coil leads around from top to bottom, now the top has spark and the bottom doesn't. this is a bad power pack, correct?

I had the exact same problem and a new (used) power pack solved the problem. I got mine from tims outboard 218-682-2331.. much cheaper than new..

Sounds like a bad pack to me as you just proved it.
