No sound from speakers

Hi All,
I was fairly confident it was my amp that was the issue causing me to lose any sound from my speakers. I sent it to get it repaired and the guy just called me and said while one of the switches was dirty the amp powered on without an issue. I couldn't see the power light as it had fallen inside the amp. Anyway, the stereo head unit turns on when I flip the stereo switch, the inline fuse appears to not be blown and nothing from a wiring standpoint has changed as far as I know. When I put a meter to everything it seemed like all was good. People have mentioned the ground wire but I really don't know where that is located. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks you!

Start with the basics...are you sure, as in have tested, that you are getting sound out of the head unit? I'm thinking blown internal amp in the head unit here.

Hook up an alternate sound source to your amp and see if you get sound - easiest way I can think of is a tablet or laptop headphone jack to inputs on amp.

Beyond that, a reputable installer would use the blue wire off the head unit to energize the amp. All bets are off if he/she bypassed that functionality and connected that remote power line directly to the batt. Continuous from head unit to amp? So...where is that blue wire and what's it run to? (Probably about 14-16 gauge or so).

Next up speaker wire....is it good from amp to speakers?

Anything else happen just before the sound cut out??

Thank you for the reply. I have not tested to see if I'm actually getting sound from the head unit. I'll give that a shot.

I pulled the boat and had an impeller replaced but that's the only thing that happened before no sound was discovered.
