Here is the deal. I just changed the impeller on my 2003 130hp Yamaha 2 cycle outboard. I watched a great video before I performed this task and everything was just as the tech said on the video. Everything went great except when I put her in the water today I had no neutral and no reverse. It only goes forward. When I watched the video nothing was said about the shift rod or linkage or what gear the motor should be in when the lower unit is pulled. There was nothing that had to be taken loose on the gear shaft. Everything slid out and went back in without a hitch. What did I do wrong? And what do I need to do to correct it?
