Re: No Power

I have a Suzuki DF40 outboard. Have not used it it for a while. So I hooked up a brand new battery to see if I could raise and lower the motor and it did not. So I am not sure if there is something else I need to do. When I hooked up the battery it did not start that why I just tried to hook the battery to raise and lower the motor. Thank you in advance for any help. I just want to go fishing, etc.

Re: No Power

Okay now I will move this to the Suzuki forum ;)

If it worked before....... my bet is on corrosion on contacts and wires.

Re: No Power

Are you sure you hooked it up in the proper direction?
