I have a 2007 50 hp Johnson. I have lost power to both trim controls and ignition. Turn the key and nothing happens/ This happened while I was attempting to start the motor. It was turning over fine and trim worked but as it was cold, it took a few tries to get it to turn over. Then, suddenly , I turned the ignition key and nothing. Now, as I said, the trim is dean as well as ignition. I test a few things. The fuse coming of the battery is good. The fuse inside the cowling around the starter solenoid is good. I do not seem to be getting 12 volts to the starter at all. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Double check that fuse and then check you have 12v inside the keybox console. On mine you just need power to the console to use the trim/tilt, you dont need the key on. So it may not be a key switch problem

1st things 1st. Check the battery connections. Don't just look at them and wiggle them. Take them apart and clean them shiny bright and reassemble tightly. If still a problem, then troubleshoot the wiring.

how about reading some voltages along the distribution network….

batt voltage…is a good start

then follow it along wires …….start key ON and shake everything

if the bat is not dead the rest cannot be all... dead

is the ground cable properly secured from the bat to the engine frame

any visible damage on wiring insulation )ex: kinks bends etc.…

try turning the steering wheel end to end while trying to start the engine (key on)
