OK let me start by saying Im sorry for all the confusion, wrong terms, and not posting a picture of that I'm talking about, so let me start over.
I have this part ( pic below ) that was runing from the motor to the gas tank . I cut the line when I pulled the motor out. I have not yet removed the floor from the boat yet . So I thought there was a fuel pump involed . ( all cars have a fuel pumps ) I didnt know there was a diffences in a boat motor and thats why I asumes there was a fuel pump.
The ? Im having is how do I get gas to the motor if I have a mechanical fuel pump. ( I believe thats what I have in the picture below) .
All I see is a hose that was running from the gas tank then a metal hose to the carb.
Please post pic. of what you are telling me to do on getting the gas to the motor as well and that could help me in the confusion.
Manuels I have downloaed the Mercruiser Service Manual #25 for my boat 262 4.3L V6 but it seams to be missing a few pages ( how funny im missing the Fuel system ) looking for another one ,
