No key... Help

I purchased a boat with a 115 HP (Mercury outboard) with NO KEY. The switch is located in the speed/direction control. I assume this is the tipical location for this model/HP motor...?

Can I purchase a new switch or get a key made for the switch that came with the boat.

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Look at the switch where you put the key in for a number. Take that number to the dealer or a good locksmith. If that doesn't work you can replace the switch.

Drag the boat to your local dealer,if he's not a **** he'll bring out a ring of key's(there's probably not even two dozen different ones),try them and sell you one that fits.Done this a couple of times with Merc and OMC.
