I have no ignition-sparks on my 6hp Johnson 2-stroke outboard engine from 1999, and I suspect a faulty HT coil: I can measure a voltage from both leads into the HT coil unit when I turn the engine, but nothing from the leads out to the spark plugs. So I suspect the dual HT coil is faulty. My reasoning is that there should be some voltage on the spark plug sides, even if the in-current to the coil is below specs, and therefore not enough to draw sparks on the plugs. So is it likely that the problem is due to a faulty HT-coil/ what else might be wrong? I have checked the overall wireing, also under the flywheel, and also checked for bad grounding. This all seems ok and in nice condition.
